DEF LEPPARD To Rock Perth's Telethon

According to The West Australian, Perth's Telethon will get rocked this year with the announcement that British heavy metal band DEF LEPPARD would be a part of Channel 7's annual charity event.
The band rearranged their Australian tour so that they could play in Perth during the Telethon weekend of October 15 and 16.
Def Leppard's gig at nib Stadium on the October 15 will be broadcast on Seven during the event.
Channel 7 Perth general manager Ray Wardrop said the station was "extremely thrilled" that the metal band has embraced the spirit of Telethon.
The heavy metal legends will make a marked change from Telethon's usual high profile musical guests, mostly pop stars such as MICHAEL JACKSON, CELINE DION and SIR CLIFF RICHARD.
