German thrash legendes DESTRUCTION are gearing up to hit the studio at the end of the month to begin work on their 30th-anniversary album, due out in November. Frontman Schmier has checked in with the following update:

"We are recording the demos for the new album now. Eight songs are written and it feels great. Amazing teamwork so far! Can't wait to nail down the new shit in the studio! Vaaver (drums) will make the job of a lifetime. The new record will be much more intense than Day Of Reckoning! And that wasn't a blues album ...haha!"

Due to their recording schedule, Destruction only have a small number of selected festivals this summer:

July

27 - L`Art Scenique - Selestat, France

August

18 - Castle Invasion Festival - Fraunstein / Mining, Austria

24/25 - Neuborn Open Air Festival - Wörstedt, Germany

September

29 - Summers End Festival - Andernach, Juz, Germany
