Canadian metal legend Devin Townsend (DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) has issued the following pre-tour update:

“Hey there ladies and gents. Devin Townsend here. Our North American tour starts today, I'm very excited to play on stage again! It's a short tour, but I believe that nowadays records are almost an advertisement for your live performance, so we hope anyone who has been interested would consider coming out. We have been working on some new songs and making sure our sound is in great shape for our full, headlining set.

This is our second run in North America this year, the first was with BTBAM and CYNIC, and we would also love to see some faces from those shows as well!

Before every show I am doing 'VIP' talks with acoustic stuff, if you got tickets for that it should be interesting... and of course, I'll sign whatever you want after the actual shows as well. The show is about an hour and a half worth of stuff, and we've tried to give a good cross section of the material. The hope for the future is to tour a lot, and building an audience is pretty much one at a time for any band, so please check out the music on youtube or however you do if you're not familiar with it, and then maybe bring the whole family :)

There are currently talks about bringing the band to many places next year, so if we haven't had a chance to rock together, hopefully we will soon.”
