The latest double-episode of Talking Metal contains an interview hosts Mark Strigl and John Ostronomy conducted with musician, songwriter, and producer,DEVIN TOWNSEND.

In the interview, Townsend contemplates his musical future and addresses topics including the Ki, Addicted, and Deconstruction albums, touring, playing metal, and ENYA.

"Over the past four years, I have quit doing drugs, had a kid, and cut the stinky hair off," Townsend told Talking Metal. He also notes that the Addicted album is finished and that he wants, “hundreds of people to play on the Deconstruction album.”

The episode also contains an interview with THE FLOOD’s Chris Johnson. Topics include touring with STATIC X and working with producer, Sylvia Massy.

As previously reported, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND / TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen, who performed all the drum tracks for Addicted, recently issued the following update on Addicted:

"As I've already mentioned, I finished recording the new Devin Townsend Project record, Addicted. I recorded drum tracks in a day and a half on May 6th and 7th. I'm stoked on how everything turned out. One thing I can say for sure is that Devin is back in a HUGE way. This album is loaded with pounding rock/metal songs, heavy guitars, punishing drums and Dev's catchy melodies. I'd say it's heavier than any of the Devin Townsend Band material I was involved in and more catchy in a good metal Devy way. I'm excited to hear this album done, it could easily turn out to be my favorite all time Devy Solo Album. Lots to be excited about, this album is going to kill..."
