Long Island's DIRTY RIG has issued the following announcement:

"It is with a very heavy heart that we tell all friends and fans that (bassist) Buckshot has quit Dirty Rig.

The guys in the band begged him not to quit, but he just wasn't committed to Dirty Rig and he quit just three weeks before our DVD shoot on October 12th at Dingbatz (in Clifton, New Jersey).

The boys in the band will do everything in their power to make the show happen!

We wish Steven Seabury and his wonderful wife all the best of luck in their new high-paying position... and we thank them for everything that they have just done to Dirty Rig."

It's unclear if this turn of events will affect the proposed April 2008 release of an all-new Dirty Rig album.

This comes on the heels of vocalist Kory Clarke's departure earlier this month. The former WARRIOR SOUL frontman and the band "decided it was best to part ways as they couldn't see eye to eye on several important band issues." His replacement has since been announced - Tom Morrisey.
