DISILLUSION have been forced to cancel their three live shows scheduled for this week. Guitar player Rajk has a serious hand injury and is not allowed to play his guitar for a few weeks.

As previously reported, Disillusion (www.disillusion.de) are in the studio finishing up work on their Metal Blade debut, Back To Times Of Splendor.

The band have worked for five months on the recordings and are very pleased about the process of it. “We take our time as we want to deliver an album that fulfills our own, very high

expectations”, says guitarist Rajk. “We are hard to please ourselves and always try to develop and progress our music. Actually, we are really psyched about the new songs and I am very confident that the fans will love the stuff as well!”

Tracks set to appear on the release include: ‘...And The Mirror Cracked’, ‘Alone I Stand In Fires’, ‘Back To The Times Of Splendor’, ‘A Day By The Lake’, ‘Fall’ and ‘The Sleep Of Restless Hours’.

The track ‘Remnants’, which was originally scheduled to appear on the album has been removed from the tracklisting. A statement at the website explains, “We can inform you that we have kicked the song ‘Remnants’ from the record. It is just not good enough! Still, we are thinking about mixing it anyway for you to download it on the website or something, we'll see. But, as I said, the song is just not good enough for the record! Actually, there is more to say about this, why the song is different, even inferior, we will let you know later when talking about the whole record.”

Disillusion will mix the album in early November at Tam Recording Studios in Zwickau, Germany before they master the album in mid-November at the Mastersound Studios in Fellbach, Germany with ATROCITY mainman Alex Krull.

Back To Times Of Splendor will hit the streets on the 26th of January, 2004.

Upcoming live Disillusion dates include:

October

23 - Nachthallen - Kassel, Germany
24 - Ratschenmuhle - Geislingen, Germany
25 - Burghof - Lorrach, Germany
