DOKKEN frontman Don Dokken has sent the following band update to BraveWords.com:

"Hi everybody. Well, our first show will be in Alaska on March 4th after seeing a gazillion doctors for my voice, I think I'm ready to rock. My apologies for my less than perfect performances this last year, I did my best, the bottom line is it all started by doing 50 shows in 60 days 2 years ago in Europe! Big mistake! I forgot that I'm not 35 anymore and paid the price, as well as smoking and JD, anyway that's all in the past. My surgery went well and I hope to give you my best this year. Thanks for all your support, I see my ex from three years ago weentertainu2 is still wining with her comments, WOW! Can we say sour grapes! Thanks to all for having my back. Wild Mick will be with us in March then on to the NUGENT tour, But he's still in Dokken when possible. It's been a long road '35' years and I am so grateful that our fans still come out to see us, I love you all and will give you my best this year. We will be doing a different show this year, songs from the ninety's and forward, We love to do the hits but we want to play songs from CD'S we love, 'Hell To Pay', 'Long Way Home', 'Erase The Slate' and 'Lightning Strikes'. I say from the bottom of my heart it is you the fans that keep us going, I saw the blog from my ex talking smack and full on lies about me, What can I say, she's nuts! and you have my blessing to tell her to get a life!

Anyway I hope to see you all on tour and will do our best to meet everybody after the shows if possible. God Bless and keep Rokken. I will try and stay more in touch this year."
