Winter NAMM 2006 in Anaheim, California set the stage for Tom McDyne and DR Strings to finally meet in person. DR Strings artist liaison Tony offered Tom an endorsement on the spot after viewing Toms guitar solo video for DORIAN -'Sirens Scream'. Of course, Tom immediately accepted the invitation into the DR Strings family.

Tom has been using DR Strings for many years and his string sets of choice are the Extra-Life color coated 10 gauge "Black Beauties" and "Red Devils".

Tom had this to say, "First things first, DR Strings are handmade! Now with that being said, everyone at DR Strings takes pride in their work, and that is something you will not get with a string from a mass produced automated assembly line. Lets not forget the tone, feel and cool new look of DR Strings either! Also, I've got an idea for a string technology that I'm going to run by the guys at DR, who knows, maybe a new signature set will come out of it?
