German bashers EDGUY have checked in with the following update:

On March 14th, Jens Ludwig, Dirk Sauer and Tobias "Eggi" Exxel will make an appearance at the Gibson booth at the Frankfurt music fair. At 3:00pm Eggi is going to give you an in-depth look on his playing technique during a bass workshop. Take a close up look on his fingers and learn more about all things heavy metal bass playing and his unique playing style which definitely reaches new heights on Edguy's new album Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown. After his workshop Eggi, Jens & Dirk are going to sign autographs during a meet and greet at the Gibson booth. Don't miss the opportunity to meet the Edguy string slingers and say 'Hi!'"

On April 18th the new Edguy album Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown will be released worldwide. Besides the regular CD edition the album will also be available as a limited digibook edition containing two CDs. Also available will be a strictly limited hardcover earbook collectors' edition (28.5x28.5cm) containing the two discs, a photographic history with more than 130 photos from the band's archive, liner-notes, touring history, and more. Edguy also confirmed the kick off date for the European Space Police Tour on September 19th. In Hamburg, Germany Edguy will headline the Hamburg Metal Dayz. As said the show will mark the kick off to the band‘s first full-fledged headlining European tour after the successful Age Of The Joker Tour 2011. The Metal Dayz will be the band‘s only festival show in Germany, further tour dates will be announced soon.
