EFFECTIONHATE Featuring Former Members Of PIGFACE And NINE INCH NAILS - New Audio Samples Online

As previously reported, EFFECTIONHATE is an electronic music project created by artist and multi-instrumentalist Shannon Gardner in 2007. The project currently features full-time member Joel Gausten, a veteran of such bands as PIGFACE, THE UNDEAD and ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN, drummer Martin Atkins (Pigface, NINE INCH NAILS, MINISTRY, PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED), and guitarist Sonny Bellavance. They are currently recording its debut album for a late 2010/early 2011 release.
According to a press release Effectionhate is "experimental in nature, music ranges from techno to classical to atonal industrial noise, with the project's evolving list of contributors ensuring that no two compositions are alike." New audio samples are now available for streaming here.
In addition to Effectionhate, Gardner has gained notoriety for her appearances in the 2009 Topless Witches Calendar (produced by and featuring members of the Church of Satan) and Stephanie Crabe's 2007 book, Motel Bizarre. Her artwork has appeared in Joel Gausten's 2009 book, Words From The Third Side: Essays On Sex, Satan & Success. She is slated to create the cover art for the upcoming second edition of Gausten's 2006 book, Tales Of Horror: The History Of The Misfits & The Undead.
Gausten recently commented on Effectionhate in an interview with BW&BK;:
"It’s more Shannon’s thing. She’s been toying around with music for a couple years, and what’s fascinating about her work is that she’s a complete amateur musician and comes up with some pretty amazing stuff. Right now it’s a studio project. Our goal is to take it one step at a time. We want this to grow very organically. It’s already gone from the random sound ideas created in her home to bringing in other musicians, which will be announced as things develop. We’re just taking it as it comes. Shannon is the brains behind the whole thing, though. I am but a mere accessory (laughs)."Go to this location for the complete interview.
