BW&BK; has learned that EFFECTIONHATE, the experimental music project led by multi-instrumentalist Shannon Gardner-Gausten, will unveil a new recording next week featuring the talents of Dave Ingram (ex-BOLT THROWER, ex-BENEDICTION), Juliana Novo (DREMORA, CRUCIFIXION BR, NOCTIS NOTUS), Matt Ingram (DOKTOR), Ryan Reminisce, Shannon Gausten and Joel Gausten (PIGFACE, THE UNDEAD, ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN). Stay tuned for details.

Effectionhate issued a Dog Rescue Charity Song earlier this year entitled 'Phoenix Reborn' . Joel Gausten issued the following statement for the release:

"This is the first new officially-released Effectionhate recording since the single 'Fifteen (Psalm 69 Mix)' in December 2010. Joining Shannon (Gausten) and me in the proceedings are: Troy Gregory (PRONG, SWANS, KILLING JOKE) who contributes vocals, lyrics and various sonic tweaks, Pete Jones (PiL) on bass and keys, Sonny Bellavance on guitar; and Keith LeBlanc (TACKHEAD, MINISTRY) on drum loops. A much earlier, substantially different instrumental version of the song appeared as 'Take Flight' on my solo EP, Snake Bite Blues, released last year and available for free download at this location
. Troy's amazing input has brought the 'Phoenix Reborn' version of the song to a whole new stratosphere, which you'll hear for yourselves when it's made available as a digital single in early April.

We are pleased to announce that ALL proceeds from the sale of 'Phoenix Reborn' will go to support our dear friends at Peace And Paws. We send our love and deep respect to Al and Angie Jourgensen of Ministry/Thirteenth Planet, whose commitment to dog rescue benefits (thirteenthplanetshop.com) inspired Shannon and me to explore a similar path with our music. And of course, our love to Troy, Sonny and Pete for being the people they are, and to Keith for supplying the initial beat that kickstarted in all!

Stay tuned..."
