TheCourier.co.uk reports:

A group of AC/DC fans from Germany and Austria who rocked Kirriemuir during a Bon Scott tribute say they can't wait to return to the town next year. The Bon Scott disciples travelled to Kirriemuir to pledge their allegiance to the late singer on what would have been his 65th birthday. A group of over 60 fans from Germany and Austria arrived in Kirriemuir by bus and made their voices heard, waving flags and chanting as they partied in the square with other die-hards as the festivities got under way.

"Kirriemuir is a great town," Andre Sonnenberg from Berlin said. "The town was full of nice people who made us feel very welcome during our stay. There were very good pubs and Kirriemuir has the best fish and chips we ever had. We will definitely be coming back again next year but without a 20-hour bus trip."

The group arrived in Kirriemuir via Overhill Road in East Dulwich, London, where Bon Scott was found dead on February 19th, 1980, at the age of 33.

Bon Scott was born Ronald Belford Scott in Forfar in 1946 and lived in Kirriemuir until the age of six, when his family moved to Australia.
