Metal Exiles' Jeffrey Easton has posted an interview with EVERGREY singer/guitarist Tom Englund. The following is an excerpt:

Q: With a new album comes a new deal. What happened with InsideOut and why did you go with SPV?

A: Well basically it just came to a point where we all felt that it was time to move on, maybe we even outgrew InsideOut. And the reason for us choosing SPV is that they basically stepped up to every point we needed to have approved in the contract , so for that we are very grateful and are really looking forward to a great co-operation."

Q: The new record is brilliant. Why the title Torn and what does it mean to you?

A: "Every album we have made so far has reflected on the life-situation we were in at the time so that makes the records we have made really cool in that aspect. Sort of a diary written in music. The word Torn bears so many different meanings but the ones I was thinking about choosing it was that during your whole life you through things where you have to make a choice of either this and that. Being torn in between 2 options can sometimes be very difficult and we have certainly gone through that as well. The other thing I thought off was how many times you have had your heart torn in two from either the loss of a friend or as simple as getting ditched by your girl."
