EWIGEIT’s New Album To Be Released In August

Back To Beyond is the newest album from EWIGKEIT after an extended hiatus since 2005's album Conspiritus (Earache records) and will be released August 23rd through Death To Music Productions. Back To Beyond could be aptly described as symphonic post-black metal, and serves as a return to Ewigkeit's more extreme metal roots.
Since Ewigkeit's debut album in 1997, there has been experimentation in each album, including flirtations with everything from black metal through to industrial metal via psychedelic rock. Back To Beyond sees Ewigkeit come full-circle, to bring a more considered approach to the music of 16 years ago.
Lyrically, the music ponders various aspects of spirituality ('The Soul Sustains'), time ('Time Storm'), reality ('Astral Projection') and existential crises ('Back To Beyond').
Also included is a rather unlikely reggae-dub version of the BURZUM classic 'Det Som Engang Var', which serves as a critique and a retort to the racist opinions of the “very angry man” who wrote the original (Varg Vikernes).
