Ex-DREAM THEATER Drummer Mike Portnoy Talks New Projects; Video Interview Available

Former DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy has resurfaced with not one, not two, but several new projects. Among numerous other commitments, he is currently working on a new band with SYMPHONY X's Russell Allen on vocals, Mike Orlando on guitar, and Paul DiLeo on bass. The music retains Portnoy's signature progressive, forward-thinking style, while adding a crunchy groove element.

Portnoy recently announced he will be appearing at the 21st edition of the Adams Drummersfestival, held in Tessenderlo, Belgium on April 10th.
Other drummers to appear so far at the festival include, Thomas Lang and Keith Carlock, and 'The Mad Drummer' Steve Moore, backed by Freddie Nelson (TRIPLE X, TOO TALL JONES, PAUL GILBERT), Scott Bender (Triple X, BATON ROUGE), Jo Jo Mayer (SCREAMING TORSOS), and Mel Gaynor (SIMPLE MINDS).
