PROSTRATION is a thrash band based out of Massachusetts. The band is founded by Jim Ash former guitarist; co-founder and promoter of the Massachusetts death metal band BANE OF EXISTENCE, of which he parted ways with in 2006.

After taking a much needed vacation from music Jim began to form a new band Prostration. Over the last year or so Jim has amassed a large number of riffs and is looking forward to formulate them into whole songs and get back into the live scene.

The new riffs are sort of a departure from what he was doing in his former band, these new riffs focus on his love for thrash and power metal. After Jim put a few ads online the first person to respond was Keith Lambert a local RI. singer who has done stints in a few local bands most notably FIST IN FACE.

FIF was a thrash metal band that's played local southern New England venues back in the Club Babyhead days however after a couple of years, eventually disbanded. Keith who's great lyrical writing and vocal style not only fits the music perfectly but brings the songs to a new level.

The next person to respond to the online ad was guitarist Nick Emans, a Massachusetts transplant via Celina Ohio, Nick had played in a few bands in Ohio one notably being LOCK 14. Nick comes into the band with whole songs pretty much completed add Keith and Jims tweaking and input of riff arrangements and the songs take on a whole new life. Add in new drummer Mike Fortunato formerly of the local metal band UNDYING GRACE, Mike who came in and learned the bands current material in just 1 practice and has added a whole new element to the already existing songs.

The band is currently looking for a bassist to complete the lineup and take these songs to the next level and beyond.
