Former DEEP PURPLE keyboard player Jon Lord speaks to STV's John Kilbride ahead of a lecture at the University of the West of Scotland to music students yesterday (February 24th).
Says Lord: "It was the rock that we built our house, improvisation, the give and take. In the moment of musicians of equal calibre, on-stage, in front of an audience. It's one of the most daunting, but massively enjoyable processes I can think. It was very much part of the late '60s, early '70s rock. Of course, it wasn't exclusive to Deep Purple, it was very much part of the way things were then."
