Former GREEN CARNATION vocalist Kjetil Nordhus has issued the following update:

"I'm at home with a flu. Not swine I think, but anyway. A few days on the couch isn't too bad, really, and fever fantasies can be good when you're about to plan a new year.

2010 will be more active than 2009 when it comes to music, I think.

I joined TRISTANIA last year to help them out live on a few festival shows in the summer. And both the Artmania-show in Romania, plus the Wacken and Gössnitz festivals were very enjoyable. We have been working on the next record a lot, and I'm going to the studio with them to participate on the new album also, which I look forward to a lot. I think the new Tristania album is going to surprise many people. There are songs there with immense quality, some songs that I cannot understand that people shouldn't love them when they're released. And that's a feeling I've hardly had before :) So - exciting times ahead for Tristania. We're hitting the studio within not too long, and I hope the record will be out before the summer. So I hope to see many of you on tour with Tristania later this year.

Last year saw me pick up the bass guitar again, forming a new band (HEAD DISCO) with my old friend Ciniod. The creative proccess with that band has been great and inspiring, and we ended up recording The Hangman EP, which is for sale at iTunes now. I think there's more music to come out of the Head Disco camp in 2010, and we're already working on new songs to add to the 10-15 songs we already have.

Last year I also participated on a record with a very well respected composer and musician that invited several singers to do one song each. The record was postponed, until this year, I think. I have promised him not to leak any news before the record is ready to be launched, so you won't get more info here right now.

The days between Christmas and the New Year, I had the fortune to go to a nice summer house by the sea in Kristiansand. With 10-15 degrees below zero that was a quite cold experience. But I kept the house warm during the day and evening with keeping the fire lit. Those days I had the time to think a lot, and for the first time since the Green Carnation break up, I felt a desire to do something with the old guys again. Not that there's been any bad blood between us guys that had to leave the band, but I guess we all needed some time to get "back to normal" again. I haven't decided 100 per cent yet, but 2010 might be a year when I'm trying to gather Stein Roger, Tommy, Kenneth and Michael again for what might become a new studio album from the previous Green Carnation guys. In my head, The Quiet Offspring album was the Green Carnation album which was most influenced by all the members of the band (plus maybe the Acoustic Verses), and I'm hoping that a possible reunion can continue from there.

But nothing is certain in life, other than what's happened in the past. So we'll have to wait and see.

Thanx for reading. I'd love some feedback.

Cheers, and a prosperous 2010 to you all."
