Glenn Hughes issued a final statement today regarding the status of the much anticipated Hughes/Thrall 2 album...

"I am finally putting the Hughes/Thrall 2 album behind me... it was 10 years ago that we started this production. It was never completed... I want the legacy of the only album we made, to live on... my own productions are done on a time scale that are pre-planned on a schedule that works for me, as I grow as an artist.

Usually the writing, pre-production, recording, mixing and mastering, takes no longer than 6 months. Pat wanted to produce H/T 2 alone...10 years to finish an album?

Let's please put this behind us as we move forward with our lives...

The best is yet to come."

Saturday, June 6th - Glenn and his band will be performing material from Glenn?'s latest album, First Underground Nuclear Kitchen, as well as music from his extensive solo career and classics from his time with DEEP PURPLE. Expect to hear some surprises of rarely played songs, including some material that Glenn has never played in the UK before.

Glenn and his band will perform a unique and exclusive musical tribute to his former band, the legendary TRAPEZE. The show will consist of a full set of Trapeze music, including songs from the classic albums ?Medusa? and ?Your Are The Music... We're Just The Band. This guarantees to be an unmissable evening, as it will be the first time that Glenn will have played exclusively a full Trapeze set as a solo artist, and it will also be a particularly poignant and emotional evening as the show will be dedicated to the memory of Glenn?s dear friend, the former Trapeze and WHITESNAKE guitarist Mel Galley, who sadly died in July 2008.

It all takes place at The Robin 2 in Bilston (Wolverhampton).

A Shot Of Whiskey - As some of you may have seen, if you follow Glenn on Twitter, he is particpating in a TV documentary all about the history of The Whisky A Go Go venue in West Hollywood, California, USA. It is tentatively titled, A Shot Of Whisky. Glenn is joined by many musical celebrities participating in the film.

His segment was filmed today in London, England. As you probably know he has played at The Whisky many times througout his career, from the early days with Trapeze, right up until the present day, with his most recent gig at the venue being in April 2009.

No update as to when and where it might be broadcast, so stay tuned for an update!
