MetalHead.ro has issued an interview with GOREFEST guitarist Frank Harthoorn. The following is an excerpt:

Q: So, do you think that the inspiration for Rise To Ruin and La Muerte are related to the seven year break?

A: "Yeah, I certainly think it helped us re-focus on what the point of this band actually is. We never really thought about reforming, but being away from something for 7 years does give you a different perspective on things."

Q: How did the songs for the new album take shape and what is it's message?

A: "Eddie and Boudewijn wrote all these songs in six months, lots of writing and rewriting, throwing away stuff, simplifying, refining. You know, songwriting. I don't know about any message. 'Metal up your ass', probably, hahaha."
