H.I.M. Land At #15 On The Billboard 200 With Tears On Tape; Other Chart Positions Revealed

Finnish rockers H.I.M.’s new studio album, Tears On Tape (Razor & Tie in North America), has debuted at #15 on the Billboard Top 200 with over 20, 200 units sold in its first week out at retail. To date, this marks the band’s second highest career charting debut in the US. The album also debuts on a series of other Billboard charts including #1 on Hard Rock, #1 on Vinyl, #3 on Rock, #3 on Alternative and #8 on Physical.

Tears On Tape also debuted this week on a number of international charts where the album was released through Universal. These entry highlights include the Top Album Charts in Germany and Finland at #2, Austria at #7, and the Netherlands at #89.

H.I.M. recently premiered their new music video for 'All Lips Go Blue'. The video was created by award winning director Eugene Riecansky who also directed the band's video 'Scared To Death'. Watch below:

H.I.M. have cancelled all dates on their Tears On Tour 2013 road trip according to a Twitter update here by their street team. The tour was due to kick off on May 3rd in West Hollywood, CA and no official reason has been issued with regards to the cancellation.

According to a reliable BW&BK; source, however, H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo reportedly suffered an asthma attack before hitting the House Of Blues stage on May 3rd.

Since the news came down, the band's North American label Razor & Tie has released the following statement:

"H.I.M.'s North American tour (which was due to kick off in Los Angeles on May 3rd at the House Of Blues) has been cancelled due to unforeseen medical circumstances. H.I.M.'s lead vocalist Ville Valo has been diagnosed with severe asthma with presumptive pneumonia. Tickets for all dates will be refunded at the point of purchase. H.I.M. will be back later this summer as part of the Rock Allegiance tour."
