According to Sun-sentinel.com, The Seminole Hotel and Casino Hard Rock Cafe will host Rock for the Cure at 7 tonight, with an appearance by rock musician LITA FORD.

The event is in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Miami/Fort Lauderdale Chapter. This year, Hard Rock will honor Isabella (Lisa) Ford. Ford, a London-born rocker who played lead guitar for The Runaways, lost her mother to breast cancer in 1990 at the age of 67.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a Pink Fender guitar signed by Lita Ford, as well as another signed by Paul Castronovo, of the Paul and Young Ron morning show, on BIG105.9 FM. Castronovo's wife is a breast cancer survivor, according to the casino.

Hard Rock International is holding a "Pinktober" campaign, a month-long initiative committed to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The Pinktober campaign includes a series of live music events at Hard Rock venues around the world that feature both established and emerging artists. Hard Rock properties will also offer a limited-edition 2008 Hard Rock Breast Cancer Awareness Pin, T-shirt and key chain and feature a line of special "Pink Drinks."

Cost is $10 per person and includes 1 Pink Drink and appetizers.
