Greek webzine Rock Overdose.gr recently conducted an audio interview with the bassist and founder member of HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, Martin Sanvik. An excerpt from the interview is below:

Rockoverdose.gr: Let's start with your latest release, a best-of album. How did you come up with the idea of that?

Martin Sandvik: “Basically our company asked us if we wanted to do a sum of our works the past 10 days. We thought that it was a quite good idea. Me and the band we didn't plan anything but when the company suggested to do such a thing we liked it. So we had to choose which songs we would put. The four of us gathered in the studio and in took only two minutes to have a conflict and almost had an argument. So we asked the company to choose the songs. So we saw them, we liked them and we changed only a few of them. I believe they chose our hits, the songs that our fans like the most and we agreed.”

Rockoverdose.gr: Do you have any future plans besides this CD?

Martin Sandvik: “We started writing some songs for our new album. We also had a song we wrote in the new JAMES DURBIN album. He is the winner of American Idol and he also sung with JUDAS PRIEST. He really likes hardcore Superstar and he asked our manager if we could write a song for him. We wrote for him some songs and one will be in his album. I am saying this because in the recording of the songs, Mick Moss played the guitar. So I saw a video in YouTube where Mick Moss was recording the guitars in a song that me and Adde wrote and we felt very honored. The rest of the songs that we wrote for Durbin probably will go in our new album. The one that will go on James' album is called ‘Out just’. We will write some more songs this year and we will tour in Sweden, Finland and Denmark and in early 2012 we will return to Europe and we will participate in some summer festivals and then we will enter the studio.

> We will film and a live DVD, for the first time, on December 25th in Sweden. We will release in live DVD our show in Gothenberg, because our fans asked for it!”
