Kingston, Ontario's HEADSTONES, who were one of the most commercially successful Canadian rock bands of the '90s and called it quits in 2003, did a handful of reunion shows back in February. They recently announced that they are recording a new album and have issued the following update:

"Okay, we are recording some more songs and looking at playing some gigs in the December / January. Whaddaya wanna hear? What song, what album? In other words, we need to figure out a setlist, folks."

The first show to be confirmed will take place on December 17th in Niagara Falls, NY at the Rapids Theatre. Go to this location for ticket information. Go to the band's official Facebook page to place your setlist requests.

The band recently released a new single entitled 'Binthiswayforyears', which is available for free download here, along with the following note:

"The above was written only hours after our last show at the sound academy. Make no mistake, you’ve kickstarted the machine. The next record is a direct result of that wave of interaction. You made us remember what the fuck it is we do."

Headstones released five albums during their career: Picture Of Health, Teeth And Tissue, Smile And Wave, Nickels For Your Nightmares, and The Oracle Of Hi-Fi.

In the years following the band's breakup, Headstones vocalist Hugh Dillon embarked on a successful acting career, starring in the television series Durham County and Flashpoint. Dillon also appeared in Trailer Park Boys: The Movie and does voice-overs for Canadian Chevrolet ads as well as commercials for Manulife One financial services.
