HYDROGYN Guitarist Releasing KISS Tribute Album Hotter Than Hotter Than Hell; Audio Samples Available
July 8, 2014, 10 years ago
From guitarist/producer Jeff Westlake (Hydrogyn) comes a different kind of tribute. Hotter Than Hotter Than Hell is a tribute to KISS and more, specifically the Hotter Than Hell album that was originally released in 1974.
Westlake ultimately decided to gather some of his musician friends that fit the project to re-do it.
“I called up Boggsy, Carlisle, Anderson and Cardilino to study the record and then re-do it. What we did was stay as close to the original and in no way modernize guitar tones etc; we just wanted it to sound better. The final part was to recreate the cover but with attractive women in the KISS make-up and in the same pose. I am very happy with the final product in every way.”To see more and buy the release (hard copy only) go to HotterThanHellTribute.com. Audio samples from the album are available here.
