From guitarist/producer Jeff Westlake (Hydrogyn) comes a different kind of tribute. Hotter Than Hotter Than Hell is a tribute to KISS and more, specifically the Hotter Than Hell album that was originally released in 1974.

“As a kid I loved that album but always had a hard time listening to it because of its sound," says Westlake. "I knew I like the songs a lot and it was not until Alive that I heard the way that some of those songs were intended to sound.”

Westlake ultimately decided to gather some of his musician friends that fit the project to re-do it.

“I called up Boggsy, Carlisle, Anderson and Cardilino to study the record and then re-do it. What we did was stay as close to the original and in no way modernize guitar tones etc; we just wanted it to sound better. The final part was to recreate the cover but with attractive women in the KISS make-up and in the same pose. I am very happy with the final product in every way.”
