April 12, 2010, 14 years ago
Taylor, Michigan’s I AM ABOMINATION are streaming a brand new track on their MySpace this week. The track, entitled ‘1776’, is featured from their Good Fight Music debut, To Our Forefathers. The album is set for release on May 11th, 2010. I Am Abomination brought Joey Sturgis on for the project, also known for production duties on THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA’s latest release.
I Am Abomination vocalist Phil Druyor feels the track is a good representation of the band. “This song is a really mature version of what we want to sound like and represent. We took a ton of time composing the track, and we didn’t hold back vocally or instrumentally.”
When asked to comment on his personal feelings on the track, Phil mentioned, “I feel connected with this track in a lyrical sense, especially because of my strong interest and beliefs in our government system. I Am Abomination trusts that when fans hear the track, they’ll feel inspired to form their own opinions, and we hope everyone enjoys it!”
In support of their new release, I Am Abomination embark on a nationwide tour for the next two months. On April 17th they will appear at the Jamboree Festival in Toledo Ohio, alongside bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, WHITECHAPEL, WE CAME AS ROMAS and many others. Following the festival, I Am Abomination will hit the road with LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES, then play a few hometown headlining CD release shows, before jumping on tour with JAMIE'S ELSEWHERE and MEMPHIS MAY FIRE from May 21st through June 13th.
