INVITRO guitarist Mikey Doling and bassist Brad Dojmovic have entered Hancock Park Studios in Los Angeles, CA with San Diego, CA based UNSET to produce the group’s upcoming debut album.

Unset was formed in 2004 by guitarist Ian Alexander and Vocalist Frank W. Torres. Since their formation the band has earned a loyal underground following throughout California opening for high profile acts like (HED)P.E., ADEMA, Invitro, MOWER and THE ACCIDENT EXPERIMENT (ex-P.O.D).

Unset frontman Frank Torres has checked in from the studio with the following report:

“As you all know we are all here in L.A. recording our first full length album! We are all stoked to be here working our asses off to create a badass record for all of you. We got here on Sunday and then spent all day Monday getting rad drum sounds and preparing for tracking the next day. Tuesday morning Kurt, Ian, and I headed down to the studio to begin our percussive adventure. One long ass day later we tracked 7 solid songs, only 8 more songs to go. We've made some pretty drastic changes to the song "Fall", along with some other songs as well, so be prepared for that. We love that Mikey and Brad are bringing out some really creative sides of all of us. We can't wait for you all to hear it.”
“Unfortunately, Marky Chavez (ex-Adema) will not be able to make the sessions due to a family emergency. We love you bro’, all the best to you and we'll work together soon.”

Unset is the latest signing to independent powerhouse Gridiron Records blooming roster, which also includes THE HAIRBRAIN SCHEME and Invitro. Unset is currently recording their Gridiron Records debut for an early 2008 release.

Invitro, who recently completed tours with SEVENDUST, STATIC-X, HELLYEAH and on the side stage of this year’s Family Values tour supporting KORN, have announced they will be performing with Ozzfest breakout artist ANKLA on October 13th, 2007 at Vibe in Riverside, CA.

Invitro's album When I Was a Planet is currently a featured release in the “rock” category this week over at iTunes.
