Gregg Goldstein from the Hollywoodreporter.com is reporting:

The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (LED ZEPPELIN) and Jack White (WHITE STRIPES) will be jamming next summer at a theater near you.

Sony Pictures Classics will present the guitar heroes cranking their instruments up to 11 in It Might Get Loud, a rockumentary from director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth). The film looks at the electric guitar through the history of each musician, as told through their own words and sounds.

SPC nabbed North American, Latin American, Australian/New Zealand and South African rights to the film, which premiered at September's Toronto International Film Festival.

Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull produced the feature with Lesley Chilcott, Peter Afterman and Guggenheim. Bert Ellis and Michael Mailis served as exec producers. The Little Film Co. repped the filmmakers in the deal.
