In a new poll conducted by Metalhead.ro, over 5,000 metalheads voted The Best Guitar Player In History and the results are as follows:
JIMI HENDRIX - 1273 points
Kirk Hammett (METALLICA) - 1197 points
Angus Young (AC/DC) - 1031 points
David Gilmour (PINK FLOYD) - 992 points
Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) - 924 points
The voting lasted for two weeks and almost 40 guitar players were in the contest. The final results can be found here.
