JOE PERRY PROJECT/JAMES MONTGOMERY BAND bassist David Hull has provided BraveWords.com a preview of the upcoming Legends Of Rock N Blues event at the House Of Blues in Boston, MA tomorrow (Sunday, February 28th). The event - which benefits benefit The International House Of Blues Foundation, IHOBF, and DeviBlue - will feature members of AEROSMITH including Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, Brad Whitford, along with Hull and members of BOSTON and SANTANA among many others. Hull also discusses the band's recent trek through Canada opening for MÖTLEY CRÜE.

Q: Are you looking forward to performing at the House of Blues Benefit featuring James Montgomery and members of Aerosmith and various artists? What can the fans expect to see at this mega-event?

Hull: "Well, it'll be pretty eclectic. The sound of James' band changes pretty radically when Joey Kramer plays drums... Blues a la freight train, and that's always fun, very high energy. We've got Jim Belushi on board, which means BLUES BROTHERS music from him and James, great energy there as well. Michael Carabello - this guy is just the original issue monster. He was the original percussionist with Santana, played at Woodstock, and is just amazing. Tom Hamilton is going to sing a song, first time ever in public, I think, this is gonna be great."

Q: The Joe Perry Project recently wrapped up an extensive tour of Canada with Mötley Crüe. What were some of the highlights?

Hull: "Got a picture of me and Nikki Sixx! The highlights were musical, mostly, unless you want to count the spectacular amounts of snow everywhere. I saw the Crüe a lot on their 2006 Route of All Evil Tour with Aerosmith, which I played on, filling in for Tom. And I thought this year... I just liked them a lot more. They played really well, Vince sounded great, Tommy was a spectacle, just a great band at a real peak period."
