KAMELOT Bassist Sean Tibbetts - "We Did Our Best Death Metal Imitation, My Lyrics Were Something About Your Mother"
January 19, 2010, 14 years ago
KAMELOT fan site KamelotUK recently caught up with "new" bassist Sean Tibbetts, who has in fact been with the band for over two years filling in for original bassist Glenn Barry. Following is an excerpt from the exclusive interview:
KamelotUK: You have played in more extreme bands as well as Kamelot. Does your playing style or tuning of the bass change for the different genres?
Sean: "Yes, the tuning is different. All the extreme bands I have played with played a whole step down from standard E tuning. With Kamelot we do many different tunings depending on the song so I really have to be on my game(coffee, coffee, coffee)."
KamelotUK: In the last couple of years touring with Kamelot what was the funniest or most memorable thing that has happened to you?
Sean: "Funniest thing was before the last show we did in Spain all the guys traded instruments and I was handed the mic. We did our best death metal imitation, my lyrics were something about your mother. Somebody has it on tape and it was so funny."
