hot flashes news

101.5FM K-ROCK in Northeast Kansas has been the home of The Pit for more than 15 years, and this Sunday night host Drewcifer will deliver two hours of Metal Blade artists past and present, in honor of the label’s recent 30th Anniversary celebration. Cuts from as far back as Metal Massacre 1, to genre giants AMON AMARTH, CANNIBAL CORPSE and GOATWHORE, as well as the latest from the label’s younger artists including GHOST, BISON B.C., AS I LAY DYING can be expected.

Drewcifer comments: “I as well as some of the listeners grew up with Metal Blade Records, and many of the classics from their catalog are still favorites of mine to this day. Through the years Metal Blade has been able to adapt to changing audience tastes, and continue to put out exciting new music that runs the gamut of the Metal spectrum. Their 30th Anniversary is a fantastic achievement, and playing 2 hours of classic and newer Metal Blade artists to me is the perfect way to honor the occasion. I can’t wait!”

Drewcifer has been hosting Metal radio shows for more than 20 years, and The Pit can be heard live at 10pm-Midnight Central Time (11pm-1amEST). Although the website is undergoing construction, you can still stream live at Purerock.com.
