hot flashes news exciter

As reported last week, Canuck thrash legends EXCITER have confirmed a replacement for singer Jacques Belanger, who quit this past May (for the third time in ten years!) due to "differences in opinion."

Exciter's new vocalist is Kenny "MetalMouth" Winter from Brooklyn, New York.

He has issued the following statement: "A big "hello" to all Exciter fans worldwide! I want to take a moment to thank John, Clammy and Rik for their support and for the opportunity that has been given to me to perpetuate the legacy of Exciter. I also want to thank all the fans that have expressed their salutations and support without even having heard my voice.

Your acceptance has been overwhelming (literally)!

I have become aware that there are fans out there that are concerned and/or skeptical about the upcoming album and the direction that it might take with me at the mic. Believe me guys, I know I have big shoes to fill. To follow in the footsteps of Dan and Jacques will be no easy task, but I intend to storm every continent with the confidence and conviction of an Electrical Storm. Make No Mistake… I-AM-METAL!!!"

The band will be entering the studio on November 24th to commence recording their new album, Thrash Speed Burn, due out through Osmose in early 2007.

Guitarist John Ricci added: "We've had offers European festivals in 2007, so hopefully next year will be a good one for Exciter."

Exciter's last studio release was 2004's New Testament - Coven Of Re-Recorded Classics, which was released by Osmose Productions.
