Filmmaker Alan G. Parker, who is currently working on the official KISS documentary, You Wanted The Best... You Got The Best, has issued the following progress update:

"KISS movie is in edit stages... week 6. Looking good. We currently have a very rough 8-hour cut, and we are pushing and prodding it down to it's finished state... I would think about 2 hours plus... in keeping with my other movies. Release date is looking like late this year. And, here's the 'teaser' poster..."

Parker began editing on Monday, November 11th in Soho in West End of London, UK. He stated: "You wanted the best… you are gonna get the best!"

In an BraveWords exclusive, rock journalist Mitch Lafon asked Parker recently about the purpose of the film?

"I guess the purpose is to celebrate 40 years of KISS. Although the group have never had a cinema released documentary before either, so that might very well be part of it too. We do have creative control yes, having done a number of these by now I think it's the only way you can approach them. You couldn't work very well based round a storyboard that says 'please skip 1966 it was a dull year!' you know what I mean."
