L.A. GUNS vocalist Phil Lewis issued the following bulletin earlier today:

"Just a quick hello from Sapporo, North Japan where the snowflakes are the size of quarters, fortunately the people and sake are keeping me toasty warm.

I’m delighted to report the Tokyo gigs were a blast. The electric show went very well and acoustic gigs were tons of fun. The Japanese love to rock and ain’t afraid to show it. The atmosphere at all the gigs has been amazing. It’s a trip seeing people that I clearly remember from my first GIRL tour back in 1980 all the way up to 17 year olds that can’t get enough of that rock n roll stuff. I love it here and who can blame me? I’ve been treated like royalty since I was a kid.

I have a rehearsal tomorrow with my friends from BABYLON STAR who graciously allowed me to steal their brilliant guitarist Milo. And its also great having my old pal Pete Barnacle from Girl who lives here now in my band playing drums.

I have a show the day after tomorrow and then I hope to do a bit of skiing and cook myself in one of those hot springs where the artic monkeys like to wallow, hopefully if I keep my distance and avoid eye contact, I wont get bitten. I’ll give you a full report when I get back to LA and will post lots of pics and maybe even a bit of video.

Anyway I hope you all had a good new year, It was weird celebrating 17 hours before you. This place truly is the future literally and technically. Everyone here has video phones - it's so fuckin’ Blade Runner. I luv it. I’ll write more on the flight back.

Luv Phil"
