LAMB OF GOD Frontman RANDY BLYTHE Talks Getting Sober - "I Worked So Hard To Get Rid Of All The Drugs, All The Alcohol Out Of My Life"

In the second part of The You Rock Foundation's two-part interview with Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe, he elaborates on expressing pain through his lyrics how it's helped him as much as it has helped Lamb Of God fans. Blythe also elaborates on how listening aggressive music that spoke about real things by bands like Sex Pistols, Black Flag, and Bad Brains made him feel less alone in the world.

Previously, Blythe discussed his struggles, noting how suffering from depression doesn't always come from detrimental circumstances: "I was in a great place but I felt like I was dying. That's the component of alcoholism and depression that's really baffling to some people," says Blythe.

He also talks about how music helped him when he was younger, saying, "I was listening to the Sex Pistols, and Black Flag, and the Bad Brains. There's this aggressive music, this stuff that's speaking about real things...and I'm like, 'I'm not crazy, I'm not alone in the world.'"

Other artists featured by The You Rock Foundation include Slipknot, Stone Sour, Korn, Killswitch Engage, Black Stone Cherry, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Nothing More, and others.
