LEAVES' EYES vocalist Liv Kristine has won Germany's Bottwartal Marathon in her grade. The run is over 10 km in distance and every year more than 5,000 runners and many visitors come to the Bottwar valley to join the contest.

The Bottwartal Marathon is a marathon in Großbottwar (north of Stuttgart), held since 2004 in mid-October on a Sunday. Seven sports clubs from the towns along the route are involved in the organization.

BraveWords.com spoke with Liv Kristine recently about her new solo record, Skintight.

“I’m sure Skintight will scare some people,” Liv remarks. “I just hope that it will be a positive surprise because this album is a completely different side of my artistic personality. It’s always there, and it feels great to be the captain of the ship. I’m able to do whatever I want to do without interference from anybody, which is why the album is organic and stripped down and intimate. It was a lot more work but that’s the way I wanted it. It’s good to know that whatever people criticize me for or like me for, my art comes from the heart. I’m able to stand up for it and that feels great.”
