Aside from METALLICA, there were other notable hard rock moments at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony at Public Hall in Cleveland, Ohio last night (April 4th).
LED ZEPPELIN's Jimmy Page inducted his buddy JEFF BECK, praising him as "the most incredible soloist of our time."
Beck already is in the Rock Hall as a member of the YARDBIRDS. He was recognized this time for his solo achievements.
"I've been naughty all my life and I don't deserve this," he quipped. In a jam for the ages, Beck and Page traded guitar licks on "Beck's Bolero" and "Immigrant Song."
Later in the evening Beck and Page joined METALLICA, ROLLING STONES guitarist Ron Wood and AEOSMITH's Joe Perry for a rendition of the classic 'Train Kept A-Rollin''.
"God bless rock 'n' roll, baby!" Hetfield barked.
