Legendary Jazz Drummer Freddie Gruber Who Taught RUSH's Neil Peart Passes

According to Rhythm Magazine, respected jazz drummer Freddie Gruber passed away on October 11 aged 84 after a long ailment.
Freddie enjoyed a long and successful career as a drum teacher and counted drum heavyweights such as Neil Peart, Dave Weckl, Steve Smith and Vinnie Colaiuta as among his students.
Last year Freddie's was honoured by Zildjian for his lifetime of achievement in the drumming world.
