Lynyrd Skynyrd's latest album, God & Guns, was released via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records last September. God & Guns is the band’s first full length studio album since 2003’s Vicious Cycle. 2009 marked a key point in Lynyrd Skynyrd’s storied career. The untimely deaths of longtime keyboardist Billy Powell and bassist Ean Evans earlier this year brought sad and unexpected twists to the album’s recording process. The band has enjoyed continued success and visibility in the past few years including a recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. Their American rock anthem 'Sweet Home Alabama' has passed the two million mark in downloaded ringtones.
