MACHINE HEAD's Rob Flynn Releases New Epiphone Love/Death Baritone Flying-V

MACHINE HEAD vocalist/founder Robb Flynn has partnered with Epiphone to release The Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying-V.

According to a press release: "Based on the legendary Flying-V model The Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone is a metal guitar designed specifically for young or modern metal players."

Flynn commented: "This guitar isn't for blues players or jazz players. It's a metal guitar designed specifically for young or modern metal players who want to drop-tune or tune down."

The Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying-V includes a custom hard case with original artwork by Robb Flynn and Strephon Taylor. The first 250 Baritone Flying-Vs produced will include a hand-signed certificate. And as with all Epiphone instruments, the Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying-V comes with Epiphone's Limited Lifetime Warranty backed by Gibson Musical Instruments 24/7/365 day customer service.

The new Flying-V will be available at authorized Epiphone retailers worldwide beginning in December for the US MSRP of $1,499.

The Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying-V features a mahogany body with an EMG-HA neck pickup and an EMG-81 bridge pickup. The EMG-HA neck pickup is a uniquely designed single-coil pickup inside a humbucking housing.

The Baritone Flying V's solid Mahogany SlimTaperTM "D"-profile neck features a 27" scale, an Ebony Fingerboard, and a 1.68" graphite nut. The Ebony fingerboard features "Love/Death" inlays and 24 medium jumbo frets. The Master Volume control features a 500K ? sealed potentiometer along with a 3-way toggle switch, chrome knobs, a standard 1/4" metal jack plate, and Epiphone StrapLocks. Grover locking machine heads. The Baritone Flying V's bridge is Epiphone's industry standard LockTone Tune-o-matic/Stopbar tailpiece. String gauges (low to high) are .58, .42, .32, unwound .18, .13, and .10 -the very same that Robb Flynn uses on stage.
