MARC BOLAN/T.REX' Works Live On In Spirit Deal

According to Lars Brandle from Billboard.biz, Spirit Music Group has acquired the publishing and masters rights to the post-1971 catalog of MARC BOLAN and T.REX, in a broad deal concluded with the late glam rock star's publishing firm Wizard (Bahamas) Limited.
Spirit forged the agreement through its partnership with Babcock & Brown Structured Finance Fund (BBSFF), and will represent the artist's entire song library and recorded masters from 1972-1977, beginning with his album The Slider through to Dandy In The Underworld. Trademark, name and likeness rights have also changed hands. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"We are thrilled to become caretakers of Marc Bolan's singular and timeless legacy," comments Spirit president Mark Fried in a statement.
