MEGADETH recorded a five-song acoustic set on Thursday, August 8th for SiriusXM Radio in New York City. The band played 'Symphony Of Destruction', 'She-Wolf', 'Kingmaker', 'Foreclosure Of A Dream' and 'Countdown To Extinction' for SiriusXM's rock channels Liquid Metal, Octane and Ozzy's Boneyard. SiriusXM Director of Programming & On-Air host, Jose Mangin interviewed Megadeth for Liquid Metal and recorded a Liquid Metal takeover.

After the band finished the acoustic set, Mangin picked up Dave Mustaine’s Dean Mako acoustic guitar to play 'Holy Wars' along with the band; with a smile on his face, Dave then taught him how to play it correctly. Towards the end of the interview, Mustaine presented his Dean Mako to Jose as a parting gift. Check out photos from the day at Megadeth’s Facebook page.

Prior to Megadeth's Gigantour August 7th show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, NY, the band conducted an acoustic VEVO performance in front of a select group of fans. Check out clips from the performance below.

A review of the performance can be found here.

Commented leader Dave Mustaine at the show: "I love New York! What a great city. Tonight is gonna be a great night."
