Melissa Records Launches In The US

Melissa Records, an intrepid new label based in The Netherlands, is putting the pedal to the US metal. Created late 2006 and dedicated solely to power/progressive/thrash and heavy metal from the United States, Melissa Records promises to "bring you the best that the versatile US underground has to offer, firmly rooted in the US metal tradition of the eighties."
The label Melissa Records is proud to announce its first signings: SEVENTH CALLING (MN) and BEYOND FALLEN (PA). According to a press release, "both bands have been in existence for a number of years, gigged steadily and released CDs on their own. Although different in style, as pure metalbands Seventh Calling and Beyond Fallen have those three essential things in common: fine songwriting skills, craftsmanship and the ability to set the stage alight. While Seventh Calling goes for the dark power metal approach that is reminiscent of vintage METAL CHURCH, Beyond Fallen brings you a mixture of power metal and thrash with a progressive edge. CDs are slated for release on Melissa Records in spring 2007.
