MELTDOWN Change Name To MANTIC RITUAL - Release Date For New Album Pushed Back

Los Angeles-based old school thrash metallers MELTDOWN have decided to change their name due to possible legal issues.
The four-piece have chosen MANTIC RITUAL. Due to the change of names several more changes such as logo and artwork are coming right up why the release of their debut album, Executioner, unfortunately has to be pushed once more. Nuclear Blast and band are aiming for an early 2009 release.
The band on the subject of changing names: “We just wanted to let you all know that we’ve recently decided to change the band name to Mantic Ritual. Though we love the name Meltdown, we feel this is a necessary step for us to avoid confusion with the other bands out there using the Meltdown name. We feel that now is the appropriate time to make the change as our debut album is forthcoming on Nuclear Blast and we plan to tour as much as humanly possible in support of the release. There are no other changes within the band besides the name of the band. So when you see Mantic Ritual on flyers, online, or at your local CD store, just remember that it’s us doing what we’ve always been doing. As always thanks for your support and see you soon.”
