While at JEFF BECK's recent tribute to LES PAUL at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York, the Artisan News Service caught up with METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett who shared his opinion and thoughts on the Big Four Tour which hits Europe later this month and also features fellow titans SLAYER, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX.

"It's gonna be a lot of fun," he says. "It'll be like class reunion for all us heavy metal guys. We're all looking forward to it and hanging out, reliving old memories and battles."

As for the follow-up album to Death Magnetic Hammett adds: "We don't have any immediate plans. We're concentrating on finishing this tour in November with a bunch of shows in Australia then we are going to take a short break."
