METALLICA have issued the following update:

"We are very sorry to report that there will not be a second show in Riga, Latvia as originally scheduled for April 18. Due to a recent unprecedented economic downturn in Latvia, there simply was not enough demand for tickets for two shows and we are therefore consolidating them into one. We are looking forward to our night back there after a fantastic vibe in the rain in the summer of 2008 and we sincerely hope this does not inconvenience too many of you.

The night of April 18 will now see us traveling to Tallinn, Estonia to Saku Suurhall for an indoor show. The last time we were in Tallinn in June of 2006, it was the largest live music event there ever . . . we are very psyched to be heading back. Tickets for this show will go on sale January 15 at 10:00 AM local time. MetClub members should check www.metclub.com for information about a special pre-sale.

If you have tickets to the show in Riga on April 18, you have three options:

- You may exchange them for the Riga show on April 17,
- You may exchange them for the Tallinn show on April 18
- You may obtain a full refund.

There are no more standing tickets available to the first show in Riga, but if you have standing tickets for the second show, you may exchange them for seated tickets of higher value to the first show on April 17 without additional payment. Please use the form here.

Tickets purchased online at www.ticketpro.lv are to be exchanged by sending an electronic notification along with the completed form to: metallica@ticketpro.lv (only if e-tickets are purchased). If paper tickets were purchased, you may send them via mail or exchange at the Ticketpro office in Riga, Hospitaju Street 8, office number 7 (business hours: 10.00-16.00, except Saturdays and Sundays). Tickets which were purchased at SIA Bijesu Paradize pay-offices may be exchanged at any SIA Bijesu Paradize trading place (list of trading places: http://www.bilesuparadize.lv/stores).
