MIDNATTSOL Issue Statement Regarding Ragnarök Festival Cancellation

As previously reported, MIDNATTSOL have cancelled their appearance at this year's Ragnarök Festival in Lichtenfels, Germany due to "scheduling conflicts." They have issued the following statement:
"You might probably know it already: we cannot play at the Ragnarök Festival this year. But we have a wonderful reason for this. Midnattsol will soon have a new member. In fact, Fabz becomes a daddy soon. And because he does not want to miss the birth of his child, he cannot travel this far for the next weeks, of course!But there are also some other news in the Midnattsol world. We have a new band room and we are looking forward to work there on our next album."
Midnattsol have been confirmed to play the Metal Female Voices Festival 2009 on October 17th in Wieze, Belgium. The band was scheduled to play the 2008 edition of the event but wer forced to cancel their appearance due to a delayed arrival at the venue.
Other bands confirmed for this year's Metal Female Voices Festival include UNSUN, AUTUMN, WHYZDOM and KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI. Band submissions are currently being accepted - click here for more details.
