MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has checked in from Crüe Fest in Vancouver, BC with the following exclusive update for BraveWords.com.In this exclusive update, Nikki Sixx discusses the success of SIXX:AM. featuring Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael and their hit single, 'Life Is Beautiful'.
Q: You are doing double duty performing with SIXX:AM and Mötley Crüe on this tour. Did you ever think the response for Sixx A.M. would turn into something this huge?
Sixx: "No, none of us ever expected or thought this would happen. It was just a soundtrack to a book that was a labor of love. To be honest the song 'Life Is Beautiful' has not only effected peoples lives but ours too. James, DJ, and I are very grateful."
Q: How does it feel to be playing arenas with your bandmates DJ Ashba and James Michael?
Sixx: "We never thought we would play live to this extent. On top of that to be playing mostly in the daytime is a trial through fire for a band like us."
Q: How did if feel to you as an artist when SIXX:AM's first single hit, 'Life Is Beautiful' hit the charts?
Sixx: "I'd say we're stil pretty much in shock."
