Kathy McCabe from News.com.au spoke to AC/DC guitarist Angus Young and singer Brian Johnson recently about a number of topics including their new album, Black Ice, which will be released on October 20th. A few excerpts from the chat follow:

If there is a secret to AC/DC's success it has to be the guitar interplay between the Young brothers. Angus says he remains in awe of Malcolm's natural talent.

"My ambition was just to be able to play.

"(Growing up) Malcolm was always way ahead of me with it, he did it so naturally but for me, it took some learning to get it and get better. I'm still in amazement. Malcolm's unique in that he has that sound, that style.

"Even when we were recording, Brendan O'Brien was looking at Malcolm - not anyone else - and he was in amazement, just watching him, just watching that hand.

"Once when we were in London and Keith Richards said to come on down to one of their shows - we'd played some gigs for them - and he was talking about playing and he asked me if I ever f...ed up.

"And I told him 'I'm not a f...in' robot, everyone can screw up. But I've got one saving grace, Keith. I've got Malcolm'.

"He knows what Malcolm's got goin' and he knows it's no easy thing to do because it's the same as what he does.

"It ain't no easy thing to do, it's rare."
